MRS is located in Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Republic of Korea. Its land area is about 29,000 m², and it is capable of building up to 10,000 tons.

Sang-ryong Park, CEO of Mirae Shipping Co., Ltd., started to operate the shipyard based on the company’s experience of building and selling (exporting abroad) many ships while operating Mirae Shipping.

In the process of building the ships of Mirae Shipping Co., there have been many problems in the shipyard industry, the biggest of which was that the quality fell below expectations compared to the construction cost.
